Potato Dumplings

2 cups potatoes cooked and riced.
2 tbs. flour
1 tbs. shortening
1 egg, beaten
½ tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. nutmeg

Gently combine the above ingredients and divide into 12 portions. Shape into balls, cover with plastic wrap and chill for at least 30 minutes.

Drop into stew or sauerbraten gravy, cover and steam for 12 minutes.
