2/3 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
4 tsp. milk
2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
Cream butter, mixing in sugar & vanilla. Add egg - beat until light & fluffy. Add milk. Sift together dry ingredients - blend into creamed mixture. Divide dough in half & chill 1 hour.
Roll out to desired thickness on floured surface, bake at 375 for 6 - 8 minutes. Decorate with icing and colored sugars.
Makes approx. 2 doz.
